For lunch today I went to this amazing Chinese tea house in Georgetown, ching ching CHA. Very simple place inside, with a plethora of tea related items for purchase. There food menu was simple as well, but incredibly tasty. And their tea menu, quite extensive!
As some of you know, one of my favorite teas is Pu-erh. Very earthy tea that is incredibly good for you, especially in aiding in digestion and losing weight. I usually buy Rishi Pu-erh from Whole Foods, as it is one of the best brands of tea.
Well, the Pu-erh at ching ching CHA was so much better! It seriously tasted like “dirt”, as it should. I also tried some that was aged for 10 years as well and it was very delicious as well, but was less harsh and less “dirty”. Yes, it’s hard to explain how this can be tasty, but it certainly is. Might be the wine connoisseur in mean talking though :-) But drinking this tea reminds me of childhood and playing in the dirt. Maybe that’s why it is so good, mmm.
